We started over 40 years ago with a noble idea. For lovers of orchestral music in our community – audiences, musicians and students – we set out to provide a unique opportunity to participate in the creation, expression and appreciation of living art. Four decades later that noble idea lives on as we serve the breadth and the richness of the art form through creatively-curated programming of chamber music, the standard orchestral canon, musical theatre and “pops”.

Our decades of service to the community is supported by acts of generosity – gifts of time, effort, dedication and financial support. As we plan our fifth decade, these acts of generosity still matter greatly – and your contribution will have a direct and significant impact.

Many of the artists you see and hear on stage earn a small stipend to play with us. That’s an acknowledgement of a tangible “value” for their artistic expression. That value allows us to attract and retain talented and committed artists.

Some play gigs to earn a living. while others play for fun. They are parents, students, and teachers. They are professionals, enthusiasts, and retirees. They come from all walks of life.

75 cents out of every dollar you give goes directly to providing our artists an opportunity to play for you, as we hope to do for four more decades and beyond!
